Technical Electrical Engineer

Location: Nairobi
Salary: Ksh 200,000 to 250,000 Basic
Our client is a leading international supplier of power solutions within several industry sectors, including telecom, rail and infrastructure, power generation and distribution and solar energy.
They seek to hire a Technical Electrical Engineer who will work with the sales team to provide the technical solutions as per the RFPs, Tenders, Bids and Proposals
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design DC/ Solar/ Hybrid/ Industrial/ Cooling Power Systems as per client request
- Work in BTS Sites, TXN Sites, Hubs, Data Centers to come up with systems as per customer requirements
- Offering Emergency support to clients and regular preventive maintenance
- Respond to clients with substations and control centers and handle technical aspects of requests from Government and Industries
- Design, size, price and ensure technical compliance of all projects undertaken
- Negotiate, trouble shoot, and offer technical support to clients
- Provide support, installation of power systems and subsequent training
- Project Management that is site survey and planning to installation and after sales service
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
- Post Graduate Qualifications (Masters, Project Management)
- Minimum 5 years experience in Electrical/ Power system design and client handling
- Proven track record as a successful Electrical Engineer
- Strong Technical Engineering Skills and with a business sense
- Comfortable with frequent travel to serve distant clients
- Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Client facing skills and very presentable
- Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions for client’s needs
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills
- Technology understanding and Process oriented individual.
- Must be able to manage competing demands, accept constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible
