Business Development Officer
Key duties:
Support to Business Development activity:
- Scanning newspapers, client websites, etc to identify relevant tenders
- Collecting tender documents, ensuring submission is done on time and following up
- Collating submission documents from the technical teams and our partners
- Updating the tender submissions pipeline tracker and preparing a monthly progress report
Support to Strategic Marketing & Communications
- Developing and implementing the corporate marketing strategy
- Identifying suitable marketing channels eg events, trade magazines, etc
- Updating the Company’s website, brochures and other marketing material
- Updating the Company’s social media channels ie LinkedIn & Twitter
Additional attributes and requirements
- Organised, diligent and able to handle the huge workload and help the CEO to stay on top of all our business development activity without close supervision i.e. self-driven.
- Should have a marketing background, strong writing skills and if possible, should have worked in a professional services/consulting firm.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related qualification. A post graduate professional qualification in Marketing is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years proven experience in the area of business development or relationship management with a reputable organization.
- Maintaining high level relationships, strong influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders is essential
- Should have excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask whilst meeting strict deadlines.
- Have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
